Your life looks fine… but doesn’t feel fine.
You keep telling yourself life will finally click once you get the next thing. The better job, the nicer apartment, the calmer mind, the partner who finally understands you. But no matter what you achieve or fix, there’s still this low hum of “something’s missing.”
Your thoughts won’t quiet down, your relationships feel stuck in the same patterns, and scrolling through other people’s lives only makes your own feel muted. With the constant noise of social media and everyone’s highlight reel crowding your mind, it’s almost impossible not to get trapped in your head.
The shift you’ve been waiting for.
Picture feeling more grounded than frantic. Your relationships feel comfortable because you’re not carrying the entire emotional load alone anymore.
You notice your mind calming down because you have tools that work in real time, not just on good days. You feel more like you, not the version of yourself that’s constantly performing, chasing, or comparing.
And most importantly, you begin to trust your inner world again instead of outsourcing your worth to the world outside.
Why this work is different.
As both a clinical psychologist and a Registered 500-hour Viniyoga teacher, I take a mind and body approach, actively helping you understand your patterns, your nervous system, and the internal scripts that have been running your life.
We use results-driven therapies, mindfulness, and practical body-based tools to help you feel present and steady from the inside out.
No overwhelming systems. No forced positivity. Just real, honest work with someone who walks with you, guiding each session with intention.

What healing looks like:
◆ Clarity about what truly matters to you, not what you were conditioned to chase.
◆ A mind that finally softens instead of spirals.
◆ Understanding that you don't need to take on others' problems.
◆ Boundaries that protect your energy and make your relationships feel lighter.
◆ A sense of self that isn’t shaped by algorithms or comparison.
◆ The space to pause, breathe, and respond from intention instead of fear or competitiveness.
◆ More presence, less performing.
◆ Daily habits that nourish you instead of drain you.
Meet the Clinician
Welcome, I’m Amy Van Buren, Ph.D.
I believe the gateway to the mind is through the body and the nervous system, so our work together mixes grounding mind-body tools with the depth of solid psychological techniques.
Clients describe me as warm, calm, and easy to open up to, but also someone who is not afraid to ask direct, challenging questions when you need clarity or momentum.
With 30 years in the field, I focus on simple, practical practices that help you feel steadier and more grounded in your daily life. My goal is to help you understand yourself, feel better in your body, and move forward with more ease.
